my grad party!

I had my grad party today from like 3pm-10:30pm!!! It was a blasst! I really had an awesome time. A lot of my relatives+ cousins+ neighbors came, which was awesome and some of my mom’s good friends. :D And my friends that came were (Preksha, Hannah, Connie, Katie, Ari, Steph, Pat, Chelsea, Rachel, Laurene and Ann (who stopped by much later, haha)) and it was fun! We played some boccee ball and card games and chilled in the tent. The sushi was a big hit with everyone! My one neighbor even brought some of her own homemade sushi which was delicious!!! Later we had fun hanging out in my room, wandering outside some more, eating dinner, eating more sushi and cake and plenty of desserts. We did have a lot of food, nachos with cheese chips, and the sushi was AMAZING! For dinner we had fried chicken, roast beef, italian sausage, pasta, cheesy potatoes, salad, it was all delicious! For dessert we had cake. The cake was so tall and it had my picture and our school logo on it. It was so cool! Also my grandma made great italian cookies and my other grandma made the BEST sugar cookies. They were in the shape of diplomas and grad hats. They were frosted really nice omg they were so good!! haha. There were exactly 50 people in total who came, and it was nice! It was really great. I got a lot of awesome presents and I’ll probably list some of them later on. :D But OMG I really had tons and tons of fun. We decorated the outside with balloons, we had a tent too. We had our outdoor speakers playing the radio, which added a nice touch :D It was a lot of work, but it was really worth it. It was weird being the center of attention for once. It was really nice for a change. For presents, my one aunt got me these gorgeous flowers that smell so wonderful. I think it’s the first time someone actually bought me flowers. :D Also my mom’s friend gave me this Chinese bowl set as well as ramen, chopsticks and jasmine tea. Her gift was so cool! Connie got me a jewelry organizer and a kitty keychain. Hannah got me these socks with sakura’s on them from Kimono House in SoHo plus a CD she made ^^; Chelsea got me a book and nice body lotion. From Nicole I got this gorgeous pocket mirror! Laurene got me a cute bookmark with a viola on it, and Ann got me a nice picture frame. Our neighbors got me this pretty scrapbook and cellphone charms from China! They were from the Beijing olympics, and they are adorable!! The rest of the people got me money. :D teehhee. This party was so awesome :D Something I’ll never forget!

habitat for humanity

Today I volunteered with my church group for Habitat for Humanity. It’s an organization that restores houses for people who can’t afford it. I was a lot of fun, but tiring. Especially the demolition part. I got to knock down a few door frames and this huge closet frame. It was fun to whack the crap out of. LOL. The second part of the job was cleaning up after we tore down a ton of walls. That was really a lot of work. Now I’m beat! It was a good experience. Demolishing stuff was fun. haha.

Tomorrow I’m going to another grad party and then mine is one Saturday! I’m super excited.

Kinda a short entry today. haha.

Just got back from Mary/Steph/Sumeet’s grad partyyy! Lots of fun! They had a bounce house, swimming (with a slide and diving board) and a bonfire! It was lots of fun. :DDD

orientation

I got back from freshman orientation a little while ago. I met some really cool people (those 4 guys especially, haha) and it was a fun time. my OA was cool and peppy, and your group was cool. we played some fun games. lol like ‘I hate to clean because…’ haha. overall it was a really fun time. we stayed up late last night til all hours, hanging out in the common room playing music, i played some eucer which was fun. the theme of our dorm area was lost the tv show, that was amazing, i love lost! haha. i met cool people in my quad, some guys at lunch and another girl at late knight geneseo! i also registered for my classes. i was with the first group of appointments that day which was really good, so i got first pick for a lot of classes. so far, i like my schedule, so we’ll see how it is come fall. I’m taking Chem 116/117, (117 is the lab), calc, psychology and war crimes of wwii. i also found out my AP scores for this years exam! we haven’t gotten them in the mail yet, but when we were registering for classes they had our scores alreay! i got exempt from social history requirements coz i got cool scores in AP us and AP gov! i also got elective credits for my other APs. what a relief. i also met the foreign language requirement but i wanted to see where they would place me, so i took the placement exam and i’d be in Spanish 201. I might take that next semester. anyways i got a 3 on AP lit. not really surprising considering we did nothing in class the entire year. we never really practiced that much for the exam. IN AP GOV I GOT A 5!!!! (the highest score!) and i really wasn’t expecting this. i was thrilllllled to find this out! :D i’m so happy i got a 5 in ap gov! haha.

just more of me partying. haha.

It’s nearly 12am, but I’m really hyper off tons of sugar, so it seems like a good time to blog. I just got back from two really fun grad parties! First was Nicole’s which I went to from about 6-8:15. Her’s was at a really nice firehall and the food was amazing. (Chivetta’s chicken) It was fun chatting with Pat and Hannah and the other people at our table. :D This was fun!

After that I went to Rachel’s grad party!! This was so much fun!! First we set off a couple fireworks which was cool. Then we went downstairs and hung out for awhile. Ron kept harassing people with the camera flash, and it was amusing. After that we decided to play the ‘Pokemon Master’ game and wanted to kick it old school. LOLZ. IT WAS HILARIOUS. Peter and Ron were the most hilarious throughout, saying ewwwww to gross Pokemon they didn’t want. lol. And Peter said that ‘Blastoise’ sounded like an STD. Haha. That was hilarious. Then he became obsesses with trying to steal all of Rachel’s good Pokemon which was incredibly funny. He managed to get her Charzard and Vaporeon. hahaha. Rachel was so sad at this! I managed to get a ton of cute and good Pokemon. haha. We ignored most of the rules, and had fun with it! In the middle of the game we went outside to shoot some more fireworks. One of them was a bee. It suddenly shot up and scared the crap out of me! I said ‘JC!’ and Peter couldn’t stop laughing at me. haha. That bee firework was scary as hell when it shot up randomly near the roof. OMGG.

more grad parties

July 10th-Last night I went to a 5-way grad party from 7:30-11:30! It was the combined party of Hannah, Preksha, Rachelle, Katie and Chelsea! They had in at the UB CFA Atrium, which was surprisingly nice and big. They had plenty of fun stuff and so many cute little desserts (including swans and cream puffs) that were fancy-ish. They were so cute and delicious. They had various board games scattered about and they also had Twister (which can be the dirty-ist game ever lol) They had a DJ, and at one point we did a congo line to a Juanes song. They even had kareoke! Me and Connie (and then Preksha and Richard joined in) did “Makes me Wonder” by Maroon 5! It was so much fun!! It was also fun hanging out in the upstairs balcony towards the end. :D It was a really nice time.
I’m really excited for my grad party next Saturday. :D

SO! New Summer Drama Talk. Code Blue - Basically a lame watered down version of ER and Grey’s Anatomy. 3 I must say I’m not too impressed with this drama so far. Pi’s character doesn’t seem to say much and he seems like a cocky asshole. 3 and the rest of it is just lame. I mean, it is only the first episode, so I’ll probably watch a couple more episodes (or the rest maybe, just to stare at Pi..but good lord, his hair is horrible 6 he really needs to change it) to see how the series progresses. Maou- I watched half of the first episode last night (I got home at 12am, so I was too tired to watch the rest 5) and what I can tell from watching this much, I really like it! Toma is gorgeous -faints- and Ohno is a pretty good actor. The series is so mysterious, and I don’t quite know what’s going on yet. But I like that about Maou. It slightly reminds me of Kurosagi. I’m really liking Maou. Now I just need to find a romance drama for this season (because I can’t go without one!)
July 8th-Today I volunteered at the Coast Guard Armory again! It was really fun. I went from 5-9 and Paiton came along too. I volunteered through the CYO, but the people who run this paticular group go to my church, so I went through them. I went once a couple weeks ago, and this was fun too.We watched kids whose parents are overseas, and their other parent was in a meeting of some sort, with other people whose relatives/spouses are over seas. Before the kids got there, we had some pizza with pop. It was fun to play with the kids in the Armory recreation center! We played things like twister, foozball and uno. It was quite a fun time! ^^; The Armory is such a cool place, really, it reminds me of a medieval castle. haha. It was a nice time, volunteering.
